heart strings - dream land.
nerves, nerves, nerves as I walk up to meet you,
and you grin a huge, teeth showing grin,
as you take two quick steps towards me and
wrap your long, safe arms around my short frame.
You laugh as you say 'I promised you a hug, right?'
and the nerves, nerves, nerves start to fade.
blush, blush, blush as you take your seat next to me,
making the sofa sink a little as you get comfy.
You offer me some candy and I shake my head while you stare.
'What?' I ask, because stare and smile is all you seem to do.
'You're even more stunning in person' you say in awe.
and I blush, blush, blush some more.
laugh, laugh, laugh as you joke your lame jokes
and tell me 'wow, you really are pretty short!',
but I don't care and nudge you in the side.
You remind me how silly I am for ever liking that guy,
you like to call 'prick' and 'imbecile',
and I realise you're right about him, but never admit it.
Laugh, laugh, laugh, oh we laugh our cares away.
boom, boom, boom my heart bangs, hard against my chest
